Built-in session limits
Every Epivo plan has a daily session time cap:
- Free — 30 minutes per day
- Mini — 2 hours per day
- Max — 6 hours per day
The limit is checked on every turn. When it is reached the session ends, and a new one cannot be started until the limit resets each day at midnight UTC. Each plan also has a weekly cap of exactly seven times the daily one, so in practice the daily limit is the one that bites.
There is no parent-settable screen-time control in Epivo — the cap comes from the plan.
Natural session length
A typical Epivo session lasts five to fifteen minutes. The tutor naturally wraps up after covering a few topics, giving the student a clear stopping point.
Students can always choose to continue for another round of topics if they want to keep going, up to their plan’s daily limit.
Tips for healthy learning habits
- Set expectations before the session — agree on one or two sessions before starting
- Use Android Family Link for extra controls — Family Link can set overall device screen time limits and app-specific restrictions
- Encourage headphone breaks — listening fatigue is real, especially for younger learners
- Celebrate consistency over duration — ten minutes daily is better than an hour once a week
